A time for everything

*****This post has been siting in my drafts for two weeks. I had trouble uploading pics but also if i posted it then she was really gone.  Sigh.  But it's time to post.

We are in a time of mourning. My beloved Mimi, my Dad's mother, passed away last wednesday night. She was surounded by family, two of my uncles and aunt and one of my cousins were able to go to the hospital and hold her hand as she passed. I am so grateful that they were able to sit with her, as she left this earth. To be free from pain and surronded by loved ones, what more can we ask for really?

My Mimi was a firecracker, full of life and fiesty! She informed us that she did not want a funeral, she wanted a PARTY where everyone talked about her. She told one of my uncles she didn't care if people said nice things or mean things, as long as they talked about her. And that my friends, sounds exactly like her.

I am grateful that we had a chance to go down before Christmas, when her health really started to fail. She got to meet and love on Eli, and my other children were able to make precious memories with her. Although WE were not ready to lose her, she was ready to go and I am grateful for that.

"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens.

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
My father, the oldest child, holding my baby.

a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."
